If we have a baby boy we like the name Logan if we have a baby girl then I like the name Daisy but has anyone changed their minds on a name once their baby is born? As much as we love these names am worried baby may not look like a Logan or a Daisy, yet how can we determine what a name should look like? My name is Dana (Dayna) and I was the only one around growing up that I knew of and my namesake my canadian cousin looks nothing like me!

Why do you need to decide before hand? Discuss with dp/h to get an idea of each others' tastes, draw up a list of 2-3 names you both love, meet baby and make final decision. You'll either end up with something totally unrelated or s/he will arrive and you'll just go "Hello, " :)

Personally, I wouldn't use Daisy if you are Dayna - to me, they sound too similar. Have a couple of names in mind, which you and your dp both like - one of them will be 'the one' once baby is born and tbh children become the name, whatever it is, rather than the name having to suit 'the look' of a newborn (because let's face it, most new borns look as if they should be called Stanley anyway!).

I think if you are dead set on a name, you will use it because it will seem right to you. If you really can't decide then have a list and just wait and see. One of them will seem right. It doesn't have to be set at all. Agree that Dana and Daisy is a bit samey but that's your decision, daisy is a sweet name.
