Megan or Edie?!

Now I know these two names aren't really at all similar, but they're the two final choices we've come up with. I really like both but wonder whether Edie is a bit of a faddy "old woman" trendy type name that will date and be a bit silly in a few years time? Whereas Megan seems a bit more solid and, dare I say it, normal. Thanks!

I know a little girl called Eden who is Edie for short and think its beautiful.

Edie is cute but it might be a bit trendy at the moment, and will certainly be misheard as Evie. Although my Evie does get called Edie by my mad elderly neighbour, lol! Megan is probably more timeless but I do know quite a few. Meg is a cute nn. I don't think either would be criticised tbh. I think I like Megan more tho.

I like Edie. I have a Meg who is just Meg not short for anything. Maybe I just like old lady names.

Edie. I find Megan a rather harsh sounding name. It is pretty popular too.

Edie looks like a boys name, like the nickname for Ed. I'm not keen, sorry.

Megan is ok but not that feminine either (to my ears anyway).

I'm very biased towards Edie too! Only downside can be getting called Eddie by dimwits. It certainly isn't trendy oop north - in 8 years we have only ever met one other....

I like Edie but it feels like it should be short for something.

I love Edie but I would personally want to have a longer name. It's just so pretty! Not so keen on Megan, but think meg, meggy etc are pretty as well
