if its a girl then what would be a girly form of this name?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
YokoUhOh · 08/11/2012 20:12

Regina (Mean Girls springs immediately to mind!)

YokoUhOh · 08/11/2012 20:16

(Ginny as a nickname?)

HolyBrrrrrrBatman · 08/11/2012 20:49

Please don't call your child Reginald. Or Regina (if you're in the UK, ok if you're in America).

YDdraigGoch · 08/11/2012 21:07

Regina Vagina!!!

Yika · 08/11/2012 21:10

Regan?

dafi · 08/11/2012 21:12

why not? :)

Regina can be shortened to Jeannie instead of Ginny

PuppyMonkey · 08/11/2012 21:18

I'm sorry, but Grin at a baby called Reginald.

HolyBrrrrrrBatman · 08/11/2012 21:34

because it's really awful.

and because Regina rhymes with vagina (in England at least, in America they say Re-geee-na so it's ok).

NorksAreMessy · 08/11/2012 21:35

Are you completely SURE about Reginald OP?
Completely?
Sure?

NorksAreMessy · 08/11/2012 21:36

In which case Maude, Doreen or Pauline might fit the bill

QuickLookBusy · 08/11/2012 21:37

My Gandad was called Reginald.

He was lovelySmile

rezzle · 08/11/2012 21:42

I thought Regina was pronounced reg-ee-na? I wouldn't have thought it rhymed with vagina.

Anyway OP, I don't think it's too bad. I've seen Virginia suggested on here quite frequently and, in terms of teasing, I think that's much worse.

picnicbasketcase · 08/11/2012 21:45

Reginald? These old people names have been taken too far. I'm expecting to see polls about Cedric and Maurice next.

ivykaty44 · 08/11/2012 21:45

I don't see how it rhymes

picnicbasketcase · 08/11/2012 21:47

Regina as in queen would be 'reg-eye-na' but as a person's name it's usually 'reg-ee-na' I think.

wigglesrock · 08/11/2012 21:50

I went to school with a Regina (Re-geen-a), people were not kind to the name.

ivykaty44 · 08/11/2012 21:51

the Regina I know says her name is reg -ee-na

I think this is why I am having trouble making the name rhyme rather than the head of states title Grin

YDdraigGoch · 08/11/2012 22:07

I knew a Regina, and her name rhymed with vagina. She was foreign though. Never thought of pronouncing it Reg-ee-na.

dafi · 08/11/2012 22:23

Confused hahaha don't want vagina I'll think of something else

I love Reginald - it's cute. If you like it take no notice of the critics above.

poppydaisy · 09/11/2012 10:45

I know a Regina who pronounces her name Re-geena. I like it. Re-gy-na sounds American, I don't like it.

And for a boy Reggie is cute. Reginald is a great underused name imo.

SoupDragon · 09/11/2012 11:00

Reginald... fine (well, I hate it but only because it's not to my taste at all! :o)
Regina - awful. I though immediately of Regina Vagina.

mybootsaremuddy · 09/11/2012 11:01

A friend of ours has a baby Reginald. I think its lovely. Love Nolly or Regie as nn.

Frikadellen · 09/11/2012 17:39

I think Reginald is absolutely fab.. I also like Cedric btw..

I wouldn't do Regina in the UK I have to admit but I love it pronounced the non rhyme with vagina way Smile
