You are obviously much too young to remember Blake 7 or you wouldn't be considering it.

rezzle · 04/11/2012 12:11

Really like it, but then I also love Blaine which didn't go down too well on here..

sonniboo · 04/11/2012 12:24

Sounds like a surname e.g. Quentin Blake, William Blake etc.

BananaBubbles · 04/11/2012 13:05

Love it.

PhyllisDoris · 04/11/2012 13:06

I'm of the Blake's 7 camp. It's a surname, not a first name. As is Blain (David Blain)

HolyAutumnGoldBatman · 04/11/2012 13:11

Love it.

rezzle · 04/11/2012 13:55

I wouldn't be put off by it being a surname tbh. I know people with a common 'first name' surnames, e.g. Thomas so it's not something which would worry me.

ladymia · 04/11/2012 17:01

I have no clue what blake 7 is and quite like surnames for first names so not put off :)

Gugglebum · 04/11/2012 23:56

Love it. It's one of my boys' middle names. It means 'handsome' so how can that be bad? Smile

ZenNudist · 04/11/2012 23:57

No, sorry don't like it

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 05/11/2012 00:09

Love it, but mainly because I worked with a lovely little Blake who was a real character so it has fond memories for me.

Alisvolatpropiis · 05/11/2012 19:47

I like it! And I also have no idea what Blake 7 is :)

MissWinklyParadiso · 05/11/2012 19:48

Amy Winehouse's junkie boyfriend, sorry.

MerryMarigold · 05/11/2012 19:51

It's a bit Mills and Boon for me.

jellybeans · 05/11/2012 20:01

ladymia · 05/11/2012 20:31

Blimey, I had forgotten about Blakeincarcerated!

But so what, anyway? I like it.

Oh! I just remembered about <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?num=10&hl=en&biw=1016&bih=623&tbm=isch&tbnid=Hk6oUPNzrTXpWM:&imgrefurl=article.wn.com/view/2009/11/06/Hair_fails_to_disguise_Australias_ambition/&docid=Pqi-ObUsuxKPrM&imgurl=i.ytimg.com/vi/sVbsHdPlpoQ/0.jpg&w=480&h=360&ei=XjGYULekHqKt0QW-vYGYAw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=716&vpy=245&dur=177&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=156&ty=86&sig=113912207516503168384&sqi=2&page=1&tbnh=144&tbnw=203&start=0&ndsp=14&ved=1t:429,r:13,s:0,i:105" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Blake Dean from Home and Away! How you not call your baby Blake now? He will grow up to be a total FOX.

Seriously, I think it's slightly unusual but not weird, and rhymes with snowflake...DO IT.

Fluffyfish · 05/11/2012 23:17

I really like it. Though would be scared of it being too American to actually use.

Fluffyfish · 05/11/2012 23:18

I think about Home and Away Blake too.
