Rory and Adam! Not so overused and both nice and masculine.

Olympicrock · 03/11/2012 13:49

Felix! I wanted that but DH wouldn't let me :-(

breadandhoney · 03/11/2012 13:49

Adam

frantic51 · 03/11/2012 13:50

Casting a vote for Felix.

twooter · 03/11/2012 13:50

Rory,

SurreyWithAFringeOnTop · 03/11/2012 13:50

In order:

Felix - lovely
Benedict - nice but would probably become Ben which is ok but a bit dull
Rory - ok
Adam - very very dull; don't like it at all, sorry

Ham69 · 03/11/2012 13:51

I know at least 4 Adams under 10.
Don't like the sound of Rory.
Love love Felix and Benedict.

mrsbugsywugsy · 03/11/2012 13:54

I like Adam, but couldn't use it as one of my close friends called her DS Adam

All of them are fine though

redtabby21 · 03/11/2012 13:55

Rory always reminds me of a lion - okay if baby born in July/August i.e. a Leo.
Adam is a biblical name stands the test of time.
Felix reminds me of the cartoon cat and the cat food brand
and Benedict will get shortened to Ben automatically and reminds me of a Monk.

YuffieKisaragi · 03/11/2012 13:55

Peachy, that was EXACTLY my thinking! I like "proper names" but ones that are still quite unusual.
If I was going for Rory, part of me would want to spell it the Welsh/Gaelic way, either Ruaridh or Ruari. But we live in England and apart from way back in Mr Yuffie's heritage, we have no Welsh links....would it be daft?

Why don't you do something different and combine some of your name with that of the father's?

EdithWeston · 03/11/2012 13:58

In preference order: Felix, Benedict (both lovely); Adam (like); Rory (OK)

TomsBentPinky · 03/11/2012 13:58

Aww theres all of the first 3 in my family Grin

BitBewildered · 03/11/2012 14:00

I like Rory. I don't like any of the others at all.

redtabby21 · 03/11/2012 14:01

At the end of the day my philiosphy when naming my children was think of how their name will sound at various ages. ie An 80 year old called 'Candy'. Will it go with your surname. Who cares if you do not have Welsh links - who is to know. Good luck with your name choice.

HolyAutumnGoldBatman · 03/11/2012 14:39

They're all nice.

Rory - is lovely and not overused. I wouldn't use the welsh spelling unless you're in Wales though. Why make the spelling of his name more unusual/dificult than it needs to be? It's as bad as the people that spell it 'Roar-ee' to be unique.
Adam - really lovely
Felix - lovely, does make me think of cats though
Benedict - my least favourite

DottieRose · 03/11/2012 16:31

Oooh 100% Felix.....gorge!

VolumeOfACone · 03/11/2012 16:41

I like Rory the most.

peachypips · 03/11/2012 18:33

I like the weird spelling! Pretty cool but may spend his life correcting people?

Billybax13 · 03/11/2012 18:36

Use Rory, but spell it Ruoray. That's what I did with mine, just made em up.

Yellowchair · 03/11/2012 21:19

Adam and Rory both lovely

ArthurandGeorge · 03/11/2012 21:23

I like them all, perhaps least keen on Felix.
