It's beautiful. Quite popular here. You would have to take her to see the Northern (or Southern) Lights, so she could see something named like her that's beautiful too!

Fifi2406 · 26/10/2012 21:53

Where is here?? Cute thought with the northern lights! Not a name for me... for a friend's baby! I totally wish I had to pick a girls name though!

Love it, especially with the nickname Rory

nevermindthecrocodiles · 26/10/2012 22:03

Gorgeous name!

bigbluebump · 26/10/2012 22:07

I like the look of it but find the pronunciation a little too 'r'y.

MarianForrester · 26/10/2012 22:09

Love it, but the pressure is on to suit the name. I am sturdy and would not live up to it.

Viewofthehills · 26/10/2012 22:12

Love it, but make sure the important adults in her life can roll their 'r's.

Fifi2406 · 26/10/2012 22:37

Everyone seems to like this one

I was looking after a 5 and 3 year old girl as well as my 3 year old daughter today. I must have heard the name mentioned at least every half an hour. I just think pink tiaras and nylon princess dresses.

Mutteroo · 27/10/2012 03:26

My friend has an Aurora and she chose it because it was unusual. It's gaining in popularity though! Beautiful name.

Gwennan · 27/10/2012 09:11

I want to like it but I find it a bit of a tongue twister and now all it reminds me of is the dreadful Aurora Batman cinema shooting in Aurora, Colorado.

Glitterkitten24 · 27/10/2012 09:15

Hmm...I do quite like it, but it's making me think of Disney Princesses for some reason, was one of them called Aurora?

DizzyPurple · 27/10/2012 09:16

Not sure. Not heard of it before either which is surprising to me . I work with kids so come across lots of names. I like Aurelia which is similar.

Fifi2406 · 27/10/2012 16:00

Glitter kitten, Disneys version of sleeping beauty her name was Aurora

It's absolutely lovely but I would live in fear of her growing up unable to say her r's.
