For a girl?? Crikey, it was bad enough when I thought it was a boy's name...

TantrumsAndBalloons · 22/10/2012 22:19

It's the ops sons name isn't it? According to her profile.

Sounds a bit like a butterfly to me.

KennethParcell · 22/10/2012 22:21

mckenzie is not a unique name thompsontwins. it's popular in the usa. not saying i like it, but unique it aint.

Sossiges · 22/10/2012 22:22

Nah, stick with Malachi

mayanna123 · 22/10/2012 22:22

"Have you considered Ben or Tom OP? "

Whilst McKenzie isn't to everyone's taste, many will find names like Ben and Tom overused and dull.

Sossiges · 22/10/2012 22:23

Or Rhydian or Fergus

Sossiges · 22/10/2012 22:25

But NOT Ezekiel

I think a less uniquely spelt name will stand your child in better stead throughout his/her life generally.

But...you're not being serious right?

threeineachlobe · 22/10/2012 22:35

Ooooooooooh no. That is all.

Actually it's not all, why am I thinking of a non-specific police drama Confused

threeineachlobe · 22/10/2012 22:37

No no its Porterhouse Blue! Oh 'ang on that's a novel.

cece · 22/10/2012 22:43

Both of those names send shudders through me. I taught a Mackenzie once and also a Blue. Let's just say I learnt their names very quickly and by the end of the year I'd used them a lot....

Not what I'd choose, expecially together.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 22/10/2012 22:50

Personally I would go with Mckenzie-cerulean or Mckenzie-azure.

Blue is v dull.

manicinsomniac · 22/10/2012 23:01

I actually quite like it.

I would spell it Mackenzie for ease and probably wouldn't use both names in general life but l think it has a cool ring to it. And like it for a girl more than a boy.

I love most American type names though.

lisaro · 22/10/2012 23:07

threeineachlobe because it's criminally bad?

gymboywalton · 22/10/2012 23:20

op says her baby's name is rhydian on profile?? which is as nice as mckenzie blue

MrsRhettButler · 22/10/2012 23:20

How is it ridiculous? McKenzie is a proper name, especially in the USA.

Oh look, I can be bothered to type after all.

Mrs Rhett, Buck is a proper name in the USA; I don't think that argument holds much water!
