For whatever reason - too common, bad with your surname, too wacky... Share here and someone else might be able to use them!

Mine are Autumn and Malachi...

Earnest
Noah
Percy
Alfie

All vetoed by DH but they all sound fab with our surname.

Natnat29 · 21/10/2012 21:58

Oh love Percy Good name

2beornot · 21/10/2012 22:01

Willow. Both love it but cruel to put it with our surname!

WhispersOfWickedness · 21/10/2012 22:05

We are done having babies now. I wanted Matilda for DD, but DH wasn't keen, and tbf, she isn't really a Matilda and totally suits her name now (Rosa). If she had been a boy, I wanted Benjamin, but was vetoed as SIL dp is called that, or Sebastian, but our surname is quite long so it would have been a bit of a mouthful Sad DS's name has been mentioned twice on this thread already Grin

noisytoys · 21/10/2012 22:06

My DD is called Willow Grin

RyleDup · 21/10/2012 22:11

Tristan. I love it.

Loobylou222 · 21/10/2012 22:43

I have a friend with a dd called India, Indy for short and it really suits her.

RatHammock · 22/10/2012 00:07

Looby, do you know me? My DD is India, known as Indy. Suits her down to the ground. My favourite novel is Gone With the Wind and she would have been Scarlett but it's just too popular now.

akaemmafrost · 22/10/2012 00:09

Boys

Asa
Tobias
Felix

Girls

Esme
Estelle
Emma

Single and not as young as I would like so anymore babies unlikely (though not impossible).

lisad123 · 22/10/2012 00:10

Aroara for a girl and tobis for a boy.

lisad123 · 22/10/2012 00:12

Both my parents names are on this thread!!!
And most if them I know a child called that

Vix07 · 22/10/2012 00:51

Lucretia

GhostShip · 22/10/2012 00:55

Dmitri.

Fluffypoms · 22/10/2012 01:12

Charmian (as in Mrs Biggs)

GothAnneGeddes · 22/10/2012 01:39

Valentina and Shea. Love them both, but don't really go with our surname and since DD's name is English, the next child's (if we have one) should probably reflect dh's heritage.

MollyMurphy · 22/10/2012 03:11

Esme, Harper, Ava, Bella - too popular

stowsettler · 22/10/2012 10:55

I absolutely love the name Astrid, I think it's elegant and classy. But I really don't think I'll have the guts to use it when DD is here. It's a grown-up name, not a baby name.

almapudden · 22/10/2012 11:08

Godfrey. It makes me think of Arthurian knights. It makes everyone else think of Geography teachers.

OhGood · 22/10/2012 11:19

Isabel. I love it but I know hundreds of them.

qumquat · 22/10/2012 11:54

Hero for a girl and Jesse for a boy.

peeriebear · 22/10/2012 12:13

Felix and Merry- both tainted by knowing despicable people with the name.

Kittykatmacbill · 22/10/2012 19:48

Agnes for a girl, it is my gran's name and I love it, dh has total no! Think i might hang in there for a middle name. And for a boy Oak... That was no too!

Clumsasaurus · 23/10/2012 11:06

Beau for our DS, DH vetoed it with gusto!

Rhubarbgarden · 23/10/2012 13:40

DC2 was going to be Ingrid Simone, but turned out to have a winkle.
