Names like Ella-May

If anyone's not sick of me asking yet, please can I have more ideas! I still can't find a girls name I love and am due in December. I really like Lucia still but I don't love it. I don't like classic names at all, so nothing like Elizabeth. I do like:

Cutesy pretty names
Ones that are not very common (outside of top 100)

Someone told me they have a little call called Ella-May today and I thought that fitted my criteria, but it's still not quite right. Please can you suggest some similar ish names you think I might like?

Thank you :)

Thanks, some good suggestions! I have a Poppy already so you're on the right lines of the things I like (though this time I'm after something more unusual than Poppy). It doesn't have to be a hyphenated name though, so any ideas of pretty names are welcome. (I do like the others but because of some of the first names being friend's babies names I have to rule them out :()

Myla

TenThousandGoodMornings · 17/10/2012 14:53

Blossom
Faye
Annabel

I think hyphenated names will date so would avoid if I were you.

Cara-May

Alltheflowers · 17/10/2012 15:00

Myla reminds me of Myra (hindley).

I like Blossom but then it's a bit close to Bosom.

Don't go! I know I know, I should be less fussy!

Hmm I am starting to go off the hyphenated names now....

Double barrelled names always reek trailer trash to me - sorry watched Dukes of Hazard too much as a child I think.

How about
Phoebe
Scarlet

Alltheflowers · 17/10/2012 15:11

Ok no more hyphenated names.

Kitty reminds me of the annoying one off X factor last year, sorry.

I like Phoebe and Scarlet but friends have taken those :(

I utterly love the names Ella, May and Poppy. To help you out, here are some other girls names I really like (no particular order):

Grace
Lola
Pearl
Penelope
Annabelle
Isabelle
Camille
Nell
Eleanor
Tabitha
Imogen
Olivia
Livia
Mia
Sophia
Lily
Luisa
Nuala (Noo-la)

jaffacakehips · 17/10/2012 16:32

What about Lucy?

It a really pretty name which would suit a small girl and a professional adult. Goes well with Poppy IMHO

Viviennemary · 17/10/2012 16:36

I'm not so keen on these. Do you like flower names. Like Violet and Iris. I do. I quite like Ella on its own but not teamed up with anything as a first name.

Viviennemary · 17/10/2012 16:37

Didn't see you already have a Poppy. Maybe two flower names wouldn't be a good idea. Not sure.

TenThousandGoodMornings · 17/10/2012 17:08

I think Bridie would go with Poppy.

peachypips · 17/10/2012 17:11

There are three Ellas in my sons class- if you like unusual names I'd avoid this!
