Has Robbie ruined Theodora?

I love this name and considered it for DC1 due in a few weeks. However now Robbie has used it for his daughter, does that mean everyone is going to think of her?

I'm not a Robbie fan so it would go straight over my head and wouldn't occur to me. Lovely name by the way!

wildpoppy · 11/10/2012 18:22

No. Most people won't give two hoots I do but I am sad

As long as your child doesn't go by the ridiculous name of Teddy then you'll be fine.
Theodora abbreviated to Dora or Thea (not theo- sounds masculine) will be perfectly ok

Feckbox · 13/10/2012 10:33

It will probably become quite popular. I think Teddy is a fab name. Good luck with the baby

bigbluebump · 13/10/2012 22:45

I think Theodora is lovely. Doesn't Robbie's girl go by Teddy?

HolyAutumnGoldBatman · 13/10/2012 23:04

No, it was awful already.

persephoneplum · 14/10/2012 13:28

No, Robbie hasn't ruined it at all although I can understand your concern because you're only a few weeks off the birth. Go ahead and use it - it's beautiful. I have a Theodore so am completely biased!

Gwennan · 14/10/2012 14:33

It's fine.

Theodora's lovely.

I live in fear that a celeb will steal my favourite names before I get the chance to use them.

Lovely name
