Harvey or Finley

My little boy is 17 days old and still doesn't have a name. Myself and hubby can't decide between Harvey and Finley. Brother and sister are Isobel Lola and Casper Felix. Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.

I much prefer Finley.

Think Finn is nice too.

YouMayLogOut · 10/10/2012 23:38

Harvey is much nicer.

Finley is everywhere at the moment. I know three and a Finn and a Finlay and my DD isn't even school age.

That's probably not very helpful though...Blush

Not keen on either, but there's a hell of a lot worse out there. Hate Finn, though.

Kelerina · 11/10/2012 07:07

Not keen on Harvey, love Finlay though

Metronomy · 11/10/2012 09:38

Finlay. Not keen on Harvey; and Finn is a much nicer nickname than Harv!
I love your children's names; Caspar is on my list!

lycisca · 11/10/2012 09:46

Finley, but not with that spelling. I'd go back to the Scottish surname Findlay.

maebyfunke · 11/10/2012 09:47

Harvey, too may Finns around.

bigbluebump · 11/10/2012 13:26

Neither would be my choice, but I particularly dislike Finn (reminds me of a fish).

mayanna123 · 11/10/2012 13:34

Finn is so overused imo - there are lots and lots of little Finlay/Finley/Finnians around here.

Harvey wouldn't be my choice but at least it isn't as overused so if you like it, then I'd go for that.

MothershipG · 11/10/2012 13:37

Finn is very popular, but I know 3 Harveys - all dogs! So for me it's a Dog's name. Wink

Jakeyblueblue · 11/10/2012 16:35

Harvey. Ds middle name and I love it Smile

Leeds2 · 11/10/2012 17:16

Finley.

rezzle · 11/10/2012 18:50

Harvey's great, although Harley is much nicer shamelessly suggests DS's name Wink

CouldYouPleaseCallMeCordelia · 11/10/2012 20:09

Harvey! Harvey every time.

charlybaby · 11/10/2012 20:21

Ha, ha - I'm none the wiser - some of your comments mirror our worries - I like Harvey but not Harv and Finley seems a bit popular these days. Thanks everyone.

The ONLY thing with Harvey is that is does rather bring good old Jordan into my mind.

mayanna123 · 11/10/2012 20:50

I don't think people would shorten Harvey. It rolls off the tongue easily and is actually easier to say than Harv imo.

Finn is so overused - I'd worry about it dating (and your ds sharing his name with lots of others)
