Sister for Amelia

I posted not too long ago asking for reviews on possible sibling names for Amelia (girls name).

After the reviews I decided Ciara would go best with Amelia.

However I have now discovered to name Alannah (pronounced a-larn-ah).

What do you think of the name Alannah? Does it go well with Amelia?

Which sibling set do you prefer? Amelia and Alannah or Amelia and Ciara?

Ciara over Alannah personally. Also avoids confusion when you get post in 18 years for Miss A. XXXXX.

Both lovely names, but I prefer Alannah and think it's different enough from Amelia.

Amelia and Ciara.

Amelia and Ciara (Keira) sound quite similar: uh-mee-lee-uh; kee-ruh.
Amelia and Alannah start with the same letter.

On that basis, I think you should just choose whichever one you like the most. It's all too easy to nitpick!

I read 'Ciara' as Clara when I first opened the thread. I know it's not one of your choices but I like Amelia and Clara together.

Ciara works better than Alannah. However, both are gorgeous names.

Failing that definitely Alannah

prefer Alannah to Ciara, and prefer Clara to both of them! don't think that helps much really.

I would go for Ciara as I think Alannah and Amelia are a tad to similar sounding.

Please could you respond to the names I asked, Clara is not an option and its not a name I would you.

I much prefer Alannah- very pretty and not very common (around me anyway!)

I prefer Clara to Alannah: Amelia and Alannah are too similar. Clara is beautiful, IMO. Other options could be:

Tara
Lana
Lara
Chiara (kee-yar-ah)

Bugger, totally misread Ciara as Clara. That'll teach me to wear my glasses!

Gabriella :) I'm just joking; I'm sitting here with a brand new (12 hours old) Amelia who has a big sister called Gabriella.

Hmmm...Alannah is very pretty but I do find it a bit too similar to Amelia. So Ciara gets my vote.
