Names like Cordelia

I like how it is unusual, with roots and sounds slightly fancy...but the sound is not exactly what I am looking for. Any suggestions?

Note: I would prefer to avoid names ending in -a, just a pet peeve of mine.) Other names I am fond of; Genevieve, Rosalind, Beatrix, Calypso. Also please don't suggest any more Shakespeare as I have been through all of them!

I quite like Cordelia and a lot of the other names people have listed. Violet, Iris, Cecily, Corrine, Jasmine are all nice names. What about Veronica. I only know of one and she's nearly 90.

Buffy's mum was Joyce. Giles' girlfriend was Jenny Calendar.

I am a big Buffy fan. Other Buffy name suggestions are Glory or Darla.

I LOVE the name Cordelia.

Cordelia reminds me of Anne of Green Gables. Cordelia was the name she wanted to call herself.
