Boys names...help

So we have a little boy who is now over a day old and still can't agree a name....the three contenders at the moment are:

Ruriadh William (would we be cursing him to a lifetime of spelling his name and no-one knowing how to say it)

Fraser William (not sure if this is a grown ups name...and won't suit a little boy iyswim)

Struan William (again-hard to pronounce, would always need to spell)

Any opinions welcome....husband is Scottish and I'm Aussie so needs to work in both countries.

Other Scottish options we have considered...
Duncan, Lewis, Cameron

I just want to be able to call my little boy a name...husband is reluctant to decide on any too quickly!

Fraser Is a lovely name.

Ruriadh William, names go well together. I love the way it's spelt

Shameless bump...I really do need help!! Husband not really talking about it and its now day 3 and I have nothing to call my little boy!!!

I agree about the spelling thing. Fraser easier. I know two little boys called that and so can see it as a child's name

How do you pronounce Struan?

Personally, I would not use Ruriadh. I thought it was spelled Ruairaidh, Ruaridh, Ruairidh or Ruaidhrí, in any case. I'd check your spelling before you go with this one. If you like it, I'd anglicise it to Roderick or Rory (assuming that you live in England).

Fraser is the best of the list. I can see it on both a man and a boy.

Love Fraser and it is great on a littley!

In my ignorance I don't know how the other two first names are pronounced so can't advise there

Just had a look at this old thread & it seems like Struan is pronounced 'Stroon'. I initially thought it was pronounce STROO-an.

Or Alexander? Then you have loads of names to choose from: Alex, Sandy(v Scottish!), Lex; Zander, sure you can think of then yourself, sorry!

Please don't rush. Call baby a little pet name, as in maybe what he's been called during your pregnancy. I rushed, and I wished I took more time. A name is with you for all your life. Don't panic.
It's hard to decide, as we don't known your last name.
Are you still living in Scotland? If not, I wouldn't go too difficult to spell, or or pronounce.
I personally like Frasier or Fraser though. But depends on your last name.
Slow down, don't rush.

Surname is Scottish but of French Saxon origin...nothing to hide so may as well out myself. Melville

Does that make any names too diff?

We aren't in Scotland but don't want any anglicised versions of Ruairidh if that makes sense-it's a good proper Scottish names we are after. Our daughter is Isla (and no real prob with people saying that or spelling).

Coming around to Fraser....but still love Ruairidh. Maybe Struan is dropping off the list.

Ruriadh is a lovely name and I think people would get used to the pronounciation and spelling :)

Also quite like Cameron and Lewis.

Struan and Duncan are OK.

Dislike Fraser, it's a harsh-sounding name.

I think they all sound good together.
I personally love shortening names.. Like Ruridiah to Rory or Rudy.
I know a Rudy, sounds lovely... Rudy Melville. I also like Patrick, to Paddy.

Fraser Melville is an AWESOME name :) That would definitely be my pick. Cute for a little boy and very solid, but not boring, for a teen/adult.
