What do you all think of Jenson James (for a boy of course).

We would like somethimg different but don't want him to be tensed by other children.

Think with Jenson James, he could use James if he doesn't like Jenson or be simply JJ for short

I quite like the name Jenson, not sure i would pair it with James though.

lisaro · 26/09/2012 14:41

Jenson is really bad, it doesn't flow with James, and 'JJ' is, if possible, worse. Just don't.

jaffacakehips · 26/09/2012 14:48

Smile I know a Jenson James aka JJ.

I really like it, it suits him. I think it does flow have said it enough times He's either Jenson or JJ.

Go for it.

Jacs26 · 26/09/2012 14:50

Thanks for you advice.

James for a middle name is kinda fixed as it is the other halfs middle name too.

Any ideas for first name? I would like something differnet but not 'wacky'.

I like it, and I rather like the idea of JJ too.

I do rather like the Button one too

Jacs26 · 26/09/2012 15:01

We are both F1 fans and the kitten is already called Button!

Jenson James seem to work really well for your family but I just wanted to add that, for me, it reminds me of Jenna Jameson (described as a 'former pornographic actress' on Wikipedia).

jaffacakehips · 26/09/2012 20:17

But James would be a middle name so the porn connection would be a weak one! Grin

littletomato · 27/09/2012 13:45

what about.... Herman?

Japple · 27/09/2012 14:28

OK.To my "Stateside Ears"...the name "Jenson" sounds like a Butler's Name.
As in..."I say,Jenson, would you be so kind as to fetch my slippers?".
...Over here,if your name is James, everyone calls him Jim,Jimmy or Jimbo.
How about a simple, straightforward name like " Rinn". Nobody will mess with
That name.We have a Rinn in the family, amd he is handsome and successful.

serin · 27/09/2012 23:52

Jason?
Jake
Jasper

lisaro · 28/09/2012 00:05

Rinn? Oh dear god no - please don't!

Japple · 28/09/2012 00:12

Well, thought a name was wanted that could Not be messed with...Rinn..means
"Bran" and the Germans spell it..."Rinne". Jill.

Narked · 28/09/2012 01:21

Rinn?

NO.

I just looked on naming sites and it's listed as a girl's name.

I'm not a fan of JJ. If you love Jenson go for it, but not just for the initials.

Narked · 28/09/2012 01:30

It was the 67th most popular boy's name in 2011, so not that unusual. I don't think he would be teased.

evilgiraffe · 28/09/2012 11:42

Lewis is a much better choice Grin

rachel1970 · 28/09/2012 12:45

I know a Jenson who gets called Jen and even Jenny by everyone...!

How about Tristan, Quentin or Rowan - all have a similar 'feel' to Jenson imo. Unless of course you are keen on the J.J. abbreviation.

scrivette · 28/09/2012 12:48

I have a Jenson and I don't know any others. He gets shortened to Jens (sounds more like Jenz than Jen's)

I like Jenson James.

SuzySheepSmellsNice · 28/09/2012 12:57

I like him the name Jenson :)

shoobidoo · 28/09/2012 13:06

Jenson is ok but I'm not keen on the shortenings - Jen, Jens, Jenny. James is a lovely middle name and would go well with most first names.

scrivette · 28/09/2012 16:59

Just wanted to add that most people don't shorten the name, it's only really DH who does.

colditz · 28/09/2012 17:11

Jj is a Staffordshire bull terrier's name
