George and ...

Currently pregnant with DC2, scan shows baby is a second boy. We are a bit stuck on names, I love Henry but is that a bit 'obvious' paired with DS1 called George?

Any other suggestions welcome!

Thank you

Ooh I'd be keen to hear responses to this too ... our DS1 is George and my dh is Henry (so that rules that out) we're expecting DC2 but don't know if it's a boy or girl ... We have a few girls names we like, but really struggling for boys names .... I like Rory but dh has a cousin with that name so says no, I like Oscar but knew some friends years ago who had a dog with that name!

Mildred

Anything except Michael!

How about: Marcus, Dominic, Alexander, William, Frederick, Albert, Benedict, Robert, Richard, Stephen, Timothy, Nicholas, Christopher, Matthew?

emmyloo2 · 20/09/2012 09:20

No idea but am facing the same dilemma myself as am pregnant with DC2 and have a George!

I like Henry and it would be on my list but it's a little popular in my area.

Others on my list:

Felix
Edward
Albert
Arthur

I still don't think I have found the one though.

Edward is my deep down favourite and I wanted George to be Edward but my DH isn't a huge fan.

Oscar, as a pp said. Also, Thomas, Harry, Sam/Samuel, Alexander, Daniel

Purplehonesty · 20/09/2012 09:23

My first thought was Harry. Love George!

susiedaisy · 20/09/2012 09:23

Samuel

Not Oscar if you know anyone who likes Arrested Development

SurreyWithAFringeOnTop · 20/09/2012 10:27

Ooh I like Felix. I also like Arthur but know three; two of whom are at preschool with my DS.

Fairyloo - not sure Mildred is quite right but thanks for your input ;)

This is so tricky. We had a girl's name sorted well before conception! But there is so much less choice with boys.

Thanks all for your suggestions.

DS is George and DD would have been Fred if a boy.

2gorgeousboys · 20/09/2012 12:39

DS2 is George, DS1 Daniel and funnily enough DSS is Henry.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 20/09/2012 12:40

I have friends with George and felix which goes nicely.

SurreyWithAFringeOnTop · 20/09/2012 12:49

Love Fred, but would be worried about him being called Freddie which I have an irrational dislike for.

Dominic is lovely too.

Lots to think about, thanks!
