Just found out the baby #2 is a boy. We're struggling to find names that we both love. We both like the name Cameron/Cam but i'm not sure if its quite right and I don't really know why - anyone got any ideas?

I think I know why it doesn't sound right.
Remind you of anyone?

Cam... SamCam
Cameron... David

What other names do you like?

maddiemostmerry · 19/09/2012 21:00

I have one and therefore like it. Mine is much older but has no DC references. If you like it, I wouldn't worry, it hasn't done Florence any harm having a Tory link.

Ah yes, that makes sense.

I also like Sam, Arthur and Jackson but dh doesn't like the first two and we can't really use Jackson as our surname ends in son too.

I want something fairly classic to go with Isobel, which is dd's name.

Not Cameron!!! It's too Con/Dem and is also a bit 90s - it was popular for little boys then wasn't it?

Lovely a name.

Very tragic for people to reference the current PM, particularly as his name is actually David... a classic name. Hmm

Personally I wouldn't have an issue with it because of the PM and don't really understand why people would as it's not even his first name and it's also not an unusual name...

I actually know quite a few babies/children named Cameron but I'm not in the UK so trends differ.
