Gabriel is lovely.

I'm not keen on the nicknames for Sebastian - Seb,Sebby, Basty..?!

Alfred is ok but I really don't like Alfie, sorry.

squoosh · 17/09/2012 12:38

Gabriel definitely.

Sebastian is ok. Don't like Alfred.

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 17/09/2012 12:40

Gabriel.

Gorgeous name.

WorkedformyParents · 17/09/2012 13:11

Another very enthusastic vote for Gabriel.

TudorJess · 17/09/2012 13:23

I like all of those! Probably Alfred, then Gabriel, then Sebastian.

smoothieooo · 17/09/2012 13:25

Gabriel (biased as it's DS1's name)! Be prepared for him to be called Gabrielle though [hmmm]

DS2 also named after an archangel!

emmyloo2 · 17/09/2012 13:37

Gabriel is lovely. Also love Alfred. Really don't like sebastian.

LemonLovesLilac · 17/09/2012 13:54

Sebastian would be my pick...it's lovely and I
I like that it can be shortened to Seb or Bastian!

bananaramma · 17/09/2012 15:07

Another vote for Gabriel! Lovely classic not overused name!

I don't like Alfred/Alfie at all, I'm afraid and Sebastian has no nice nicknames - Bastian is too much like Bastard imo and Seb sounds like sebacious, oily.

QueLinda · 17/09/2012 15:42

Gabriel is beautiful, Sebastian is nice, possibly a bit dull. Alfred would become Alfie which is awful and really faddy and common

PenelopeChipShop · 17/09/2012 15:48

Gabriel! That was on my list but DH vetoed. Love it.

mayanna123 · 17/09/2012 22:07

I have to agree that Gabriel is the nicest.

Really don't like Alfred, sorry and Sebastian is rather long (3 syllables) that it may well end up shortened... and neither Seb or Basty is very nice imo.

Chislemum · 23/09/2012 16:52

Sebastian. My son's name, so I am biased. We also thought about Gabriel but decided against it (Archangel and the issue that it may be spelled Gabrielle by some people). Really don't like Alfie. If you have a short last name, Sebastian is nice. With a longer last name, Gabriel might be nicer. Both are lovely names.Smile

Kaekae · 30/09/2012 00:08

Sebastian is a lovely name and I quite the short versions for a teen. Gabrielle....knew a boy called this who always got teased and called gaylord.

Ham69 · 30/09/2012 00:15

Another vote for Gabriel, love it. I'd worry that Alfred would be shortened to Alfie and know a few Sebastians and think it's a bit of a mouthful but ok.

Startailoforangeandgold · 30/09/2012 00:47

They are all nice, but there are loads of Archie's about. Only one Gabriel and no Sebastian's.

Pochemuchka · 30/09/2012 00:49

Really like Sebastian.

Not so keen on the other two.

HerRoyalNotness · 30/09/2012 01:00

Gabriel nn gabe or Alfred nn Fred (I think that's quite cute. Baby Fred)

Cezella · 30/09/2012 01:43

Sebastian is the best- Sebby is so cute for a little boy and Seb is pretty cool as he gets older. Gabriel is nice as well though, really don't like Alfred although Alfie is cute but very popular!

DessieLou · 30/09/2012 14:16

Please use Gabriel! I love it but OH has vetoed it. Sebastian is also nice but please don't use Alfred, I really dislike it, sorry! Smile

imustbepatient · 30/09/2012 14:39

Sebastian and Gabriel are really lovely names, would have had both on our list if we had a boy. Not keen at all on Alfred sorry.

evamummy · 30/09/2012 16:00

I like Gabriel the best. Sebastian is ok but I also find Seb or Sebby very soft and feminine (and oily - sebacious) sounding. Alfred is quite nice but Archie is overdone imo (and will date).
