Please give your opinions as we cannot decide!

DH and I love both but we each slightly favour one over the other...

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Fisharefriendsnotfood · 16/09/2012 21:54

Clara for me Smile

MJP1 · 16/09/2012 21:55

Elodie we love it if ours is a girl we have it as one of her middle names xxx

TenthMuse · 16/09/2012 22:02

Clara - feels less faddy and more classic. Elodie is pretty but very 'of the moment' (the new Amelie?)

DisabilEightiesChick · 16/09/2012 22:02

Clara for me too

Pumpster · 16/09/2012 22:03

Clara makes me think of a character on a book...which one aargh I cannot remember!
I like Elodie but I prefer Eloise!

Pumpster · 16/09/2012 22:03

Clara Clara Clara. Lovely name.

GW297 · 16/09/2012 22:07

Both lovely names. Prefer Elodie.

Quin · 16/09/2012 22:13

Clara seems to be leading just slightly - which is my favourite! Will DH accept the wisdom of mumsnet though...

Thank you to those that have answered so far.

Clara for me. Elodie sounds lovely with a French accent (ay-lo-dee), but rather incomplete in britain (like Melody without the M) and I'm not keen on El/Ellie names.

youonlysingwhenyourewinning · 16/09/2012 22:34

I love both!

I have a slight leaning towards Elodie though.

crackcrackcrak · 16/09/2012 22:36

Elodie is one of my baby names. I looked on wiki all the famous Elodies are scientists etc - sold it for me!

StormGlass · 16/09/2012 22:37

Pumpster - Clara was the wheelchair bound child in the book "Heidi". But Clara had a miraculous return to health after the jealous child Peter threw her wheelchair off a mountain.

OP - I prefer Elodie.

PorkyandBess · 16/09/2012 22:38

Love Elodie, but I fear it is too popular now.

EBDTeacher · 16/09/2012 22:41

Clara

bessie26 · 16/09/2012 22:41

Clara

shartsi · 16/09/2012 22:43

Clara is nice. I prefer Cara though.

Boonyjinkies · 16/09/2012 22:44

Both lovely. Does one go better with your surname?

TudorJess · 16/09/2012 22:51

I like them both equally (no help to you, I know!)

Badgerina · 16/09/2012 23:32

Clara is my mum. I love it.

Chocolateporridge · 16/09/2012 23:37

Our dd is Elodie Cara so maybe you could do the same with Clara?

Pumpster · 17/09/2012 07:35

Stormglass thank you that's it!

SomebodySaveMe · 17/09/2012 07:55

Elodie is lovely.

GW297 · 17/09/2012 09:08

Elodie with middle name Clara?

Dogsmom · 17/09/2012 09:14

My nan was named Clara, are you pronouncing it C-lara or Clair-a? (Nan was Clair-a)
