I was just thinking about middle names, and randomly thought what about a virtue middle name, however I can't think of any I like. I've ruled these out so far:

Temperance
Chastity
Verity
Hope
Faith
Liberty
Grace
Prudence
Mercy
Joy
Clemency
Charity

Are there any that I have missed? First name will probably be Sara.

Charis = Grace (Greek)

Amity too.

Patience (DD's middle name)

Felicity?

Or Victoire (French for "victory") - one of DD's middle names - or Esperance (don't think Esperanza would go with Sara, but I quite like the name)

It's not quite a virtue name, but Gloria?

Honor can also be Honoria.

Fidelity is on TudorJess's list, and made me think of Fidelia, which I think is lovely. Also Unity from the list could work.

Anyway, I always think using virtue names is tempting fate a wee bit...

I am firmly in the tempting fate camp as well - Chastity on the labour ward age 14 granny does look a bit of a pillock.

I see Loveday a lot in 18th C parish records! Really like it. Probably as a middle name though.
