Second name to 'Bethany'?

We have really been struggling with girls names, my fella is leaning towards what are (in my opinion) tacky, more modern names whereas I like the more traditional (without being too common).

We have both agreed on Bethany/Beth as a first name, but now begins the challenge to find a middle name that goes with both Bethany AND Beth.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks ladies! I like Rose but Tom is adverse to any flower names (Lily, Daisy, Rose etc)

Also, I think one syllable middle names go well with Bethany, but not so much with Beth, as our surname is also one syllable.

For eg. Beth Rose Smith

Does it sound too harsh?

I particularly love the suggestion of Megan and Charlotte PopcornCity

I don't think it matters too much if the middle name goes with the nickname does it? I mean, you're likely to use the nickname in more informal settings (family, friends etc) where the middle name is unlikely to be being used at the same time. You want a middle name that goes with Bethany for writing down, saying at formal occasions and yelling 'Bethany X X, get your room cleaned this minute!

I think all popcorn's suggestions are lovely.

My first thought was Rose too though it looks like thats ruled out so how about:

I think one syllable names would be fine too:

Bethany Georgia?

LuckyOwl28 · 02/09/2012 22:13

Some more great suggestions.

manicinsomniac I hadn't thought about it like that, but you're right; I'm never going to use her middle name followed by Beth anyway.

I am really into Bethany Jade actually! Will put to the hubby. Thanks ladies!
