What do you think of the name Lushe as my baby daughter's name?

What do you think of the name Lushe (silent e) as my baby daughter's name? Plenty of people have the surname Lush so why not have it as a first name? I already have a daughter called Harlowe which caused uproar with the family but has been received well in nursery but I need something just as unusual for my new arrival due in January. This is my first post so please be nice to me...

Scottish mummy - Is she called Candy Lush or something similar to that? Or is it just Lush? Anyway I think the view on Lush is very negative so I have decided to scrap it altogether.

Glad you've shelved Lushe. It's dire.

If you like unusual, androgynous names how about

Marley
Riley
Cedar
Cameo
Montana

More girly names

Tansy
Karina
Georgia

coldfuchsia - Quinn, yes I love but having a Quinn in Glee will boost it's popularity. Brooke and Autumn I do like yes, Kinley I'm umming and arring about, hmm not sure...

Does anyone like the name Skya or know any where you live?

Whatever you choose please at least spell it correctly.

I put my tuppence worth in and suggest Kezia.

Op, I think you are flogging a dead horse trying to get this lot to like your names. You are talking about people who love a nice Mabel or Juno. They will never go for anything you might like.

If you like Skya, then go ahead. Dont let this lot make your doubt your choices.

(if you love Quinn, Ild go for it, btw, its a lovely name and I dont think it will become very popular, even with Glee)

Ooooh....How about Tuppence? It's a name I secretly like but wouldn't be brave enough to use.

I quite like Harlow...Didn't Nicole Richie call her DC somethign similar?

coldfuchsia - I don't necessarily want them to like my names. If they just don't like them then that's their choice but if they don't like them because it means something else in their part of the country then it's a really good thing I did ask for their opinion. Lush could have been named and been fine in the midlands, with everyone thinking ahh unusual but means lovely so very ice... Then we would have gone for a day out up north or down south and had people sniggering at the name, thinking she's going to have the pee ripped out of her when she gets to high school, how could the parents name her after a drunk?? I would feel awful.

I really do appreciate all the reviews from everyone, no matter how honest they are.

No to Tuppence - it is what my mum used to call my lady bits. LOL

Grin cece I did just think to myself "but wouldn't that be shortened to Tup....isn't that another name for oral sex???" Or is that tip...tipping the velvet...

But then it could be Penny as a nn, which I think is also pretty

TwllBach - Yes she did and I copied her a few months later, otherwise my daughter Harlowe (as she is now known) would not have had a name ever. It is bad enough getting your hubby to agree to a name, let alone the rest of the family. It only seems to have taken off in America though.

Aerobreaking - Thank you, it was a gamble that seems to have paid off. About 50% like the name Harlowe and about 50% hate it lol. And most the ones that hate it are near Harlow, Essex.

I also like Harlowe. Also think its a bit off to comment on the OPs eldest child, that she wasn't asking about. You seem to like nature names OP. How about
Merrin
Topaz
Neva
Ainslie
Lana
Ria
Silva
Briony/Briar

Merrin is lovely - I think I have also seen it spelt MerrYn.

Harlowe and Merryn - they look pretty together!

Piper's very American but I love it. I know one with a completely crazy middle name and she's such a cool kid that she totally rocks her name.
