Is it becoming very popular? I only know of one and I'm a teacher so thought I had a fairly good grip of what's popular at the moment but others have told me it's becoming more common. Any thoughts?

Three ranging from 13 to 3 months. Bigger ones are always referred to as Ellie though.

One, she's 11 and absolutely lovely- go for it!

I picked this for DD as I love it too but DH felt she'd be spelling it for people too often so swapped to Louise. I still love Eloise though.

Two.

One is 10 and a lovely, polite and funny girl... the other is 7 and whiney, rude and horrid :-/

I don't think it is massively popular but I do think it is on the up. My cousin called her baby Eloise last year. It is a classic name so you always find a few Eloises about. My best friend at school was an Eloise and there was one in the year below me as well. I knew quite a few of them at uni (plus a few Heloises).

There's been an Eloise outbreak where I work. Four of us have named our daughters Eloise within the space of a couple of years. One of my colleagues announced the name to the office a couple of weeks before mine was born even though we'd decided on the name months earlier. I think we may be out the other side now, though. I've not heard of any more for a while. We're all just trying to think of different names for the second children... Grin

I only know of one more Eloise but she's late thirties now.
