I love Hattie, dont think you need to have a longer name Hattie for me is a name in its own right. Not sure that Dotty is in a similar vien though.

Staying on the 'H' theme what about Hazel, Hebe or Hero?

I do think Hatty/ie is lovely.

My 79 year old mother is a Hetty (short for Henrietta) but other than Hattie Jaques, I've never met or heard of another.
