Middle name for Summer

My late nan was called Summer, quite a rare name back then.

We'd like to use it for expected dd, due to arrive in 8 weeks.

Wondered if anyone had any suggestions for a nice middle name.

The only one we like is Rae, but not 100% sure.

Any suggestions? Id ideally like a shorter name.

Thanks so much x

Thyme?
Breeze?

Sorry :o

That's actually quite a tough one to match.

Is there any family names?

Thyme :)

Erm, no family names suitable really.

Maybe we will go without!

Joking aside, it would be easy to get it wrong as the potential for doing something silly is pretty high. Someone may come up with something brilliant, but a lot of names sound awkward and if it sounds nice then it makes something that looks like a phrase etc. If you don't have anyone else that you'd like to honour then maybe do without. You could always just have an initial and no actual name if you want something in there :)

I don't think it needs one to be honest?

If you go for one I think I would go for one syllable, but try and find something that is not a noun, iyswim.

What about Lynn? Or Kate?

Leigh
Kate
Anne
Elizabeth

I knew a Spring Eve and an Autumn Dawn when I was little. Maybe a bit cheesy? I think Summer Dawn is quite pretty actually :)

juneau · 25/08/2012 08:27

Summer Breeze
Summer Holiday
Summer Sunshine

... can't think of any others at the moment

Summer Rain!

There you go. Much more appropriate in this country and has a little G'n'R vibe too.

SheilaWheeler · 25/08/2012 08:27

Summer Rose

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 25/08/2012 08:28

The only one that I think goes,is Rose. Summer Rose. I think Rae has the connotatation of the suns rays, and therefore sounds to 'themed'.

Summer Juliet
Summer Jessica
