Eva Smile

Netheregions · 23/08/2012 13:11

Eva - here in the Netherlands it's pronounced Ava anyway - and it's a delicious name!

wildflowersummermeadow · 23/08/2012 13:14

Not helping now...Ava for me!

PepperOnMyPaprikash · 23/08/2012 13:17

Ava

Vajazzler · 23/08/2012 13:17

Ava from me!

Tittywhistles · 23/08/2012 13:19

My friend's name is Eva, pronounced 'Ever'

It's lovely.

GnocchiNineDoors · 23/08/2012 13:21

Ava.

Or, to throw another one in the mix Aoife (Ee-fa)

ColourMeWithChaos · 23/08/2012 13:22

I like both - both gorgeous names so not really helping!

Sastra · 23/08/2012 13:30

Love both. Do they have different meanings? Perhaps that could help you decide?

Frontpaw · 23/08/2012 13:33

I haven't come across Ava, but maybe it works better with your surname that Eva?

I would pronounce them Eeva and Aaaava. Am I wrong there? I may even pronounce them Ahve (as in Maria) but then that's me!

MrsJohnDeere · 23/08/2012 13:36

Eva, or even Eve (nicer IMO)

2beornot · 23/08/2012 13:37

Ava. Seems we're pretty split!

MrsRhettButler · 23/08/2012 13:46

Eva much nicer imo but if you like both then yes maybe look at the meanings and if one is nicer than the other then use that one?

cakeismysaviour · 23/08/2012 13:50

Eva is much the nicest. :)

MissTriangle · 23/08/2012 14:20

Eva.
My DD is Eva. We couldn't decide between the two but I love Eva much more now. Plus have met a lot lot more Ava's on the baby circuit

Muffincrumpet · 23/08/2012 14:56

I think Eva is nicer and less common than Ava

HaggisMcNeeps · 23/08/2012 16:11

I think Ava is much less common than Eva.

EdithWeston · 23/08/2012 16:27

Both are currently in frequent use: on 2010 list, if you added together Eva/Eve/Evie/Ava the name was number 2. I haven't done the arithmetic on the 2011 yet, but the positions remain high.

I prefer Eva (influence of the New Seekers, I suspect).

PuffPants · 23/08/2012 16:42

Why don't you try something else altogether? Honestly, there are so many of both around, she'll be Eva B or Ava C (e.g) throughout her schooldays.

jellybeans · 23/08/2012 16:55

Eva.

mrstowers · 23/08/2012 18:34

Neither! There are soooo many little girls called Ava/Eva/Evie etc.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 23/08/2012 18:35

Eva!

babyblabber · 23/08/2012 19:19

Eva is more classic I think, Ava is lovely but a bit more faddy.

scarlettsmummy2 · 23/08/2012 19:23

Aoife! Much less common in the uk than Eva and Ava.

HiHowAreYou · 23/08/2012 19:39

I prefer Ava.
