What do you think of Peggy?

Just wondering what anybody thinks of Peggy for a baby girl? DH wants to name our DD3 after his Grandma. Her real name was Margaret which I don't like at all but everyone knew her as Peggy. I know that it is a popular name I France but I've never actually come across a child named Peggy. Honest opinions please :)

I like marguerite though - means daisy I think

My Mum is a Peggy so I love it! Doesn't seem to have been revived along with all the other maid's names, not lots of them around.

My dd's nickname is Peggy-Sue (which is used nearly all the time). I absolutely love it! I would use Margaret on the bc though.

i think it's lovely! i know a little-ish Peggy and the name reeeeeeally suits her!

Margaret is so frumpy though, I find it hard to reconcile the two names as they're so different.

On more than one occasion people have phoned my family home asking to speak to Margaret only to be told that 'no Margaret lives here. Byeeee'. And then an 'oh shit, wait, you mean my Mum' after we've hung up.

We've got a daughter with a middle name of Peggy, named after my wonderful granny. Go for it, enjoy the familial connection.
