All in the running if we have a boy. Which do you like?

I have an Archie, LOVE it, get loads of positive comments, but it is becoming more popular. I don't mind that tho!

They're all lovely names.

jaffacakehips · 21/08/2012 14:38

Tom!

Great name, not that the others aren't, just not keen on all the 'ie's'

What about Alfred and the nn Fred?

squoosh · 21/08/2012 15:31

Tom

DoingItForMyself · 21/08/2012 15:43

I know an Archie & an Alfie, both great names and as Jaffa says, there's potential for Fred with Alfred too. Not so keen on Archibald as a long name tho! Tom ok, but nothing special.

Kittenkatzen · 21/08/2012 17:05

I love Tom.

Alfred ok as a long name but would shorten to Alfie or Freddie.

Archie is ok I guess, but I really don't like Archibald. I think it's the "bald" bit - makes it sound harsh to my ears.

Alfred with nn Alfie or Freddie

randomimposter · 22/08/2012 07:57

I know an Archie who is Archer on the BC if that helps.

Most in fact all of the Archies I know are little shits actually .

Of the names you list Tom/Thomas my favourite. Or prefer Albert or Arthur to the A names you mention.

TimeForMyOwnDSorDD · 22/08/2012 09:15

Only Tom is ok IMO.

jellybeans · 22/08/2012 11:32

Tom is the only one I like of those. Don't like cutesy 'ie' names for boys. Really don't like Archibald, would prob get teased. I know a just Archie who gets teased Archibald. Only old man name I like is Albert.

MrsJohnDeere · 22/08/2012 12:10
