How would you spell Finlay- grandparents Scottish on one side, does this suggest Finlay would be better?

Also whilst I'm here! What do you think of Elijah?

With Finley/Finlay I think it depends how you are going to say it ...

I love Elijah btw

My DP is Finlay (Fin) and I love it! The two names definitely have different pronunciations: Finlay (Fin-Lay) and Finley (Fin-Lee)

My cousin-in-law's child is called Finlay pronounced Fin-lee, just to confuse things!

AlwaysHoldingOnToStars · 13/08/2012 23:44

I'd pronounce them differently and I prefer Finley, because for me Fin-lee flows more easily than Fin-lay.

I love Elijah, great name.

Elijah is gorgeous and imo much more interesting and less overused than Finley/Finlay.

I'm Scottish and have a Findlay as its a family surname. It's usually Finlay in Scotland I think.
