Love - for how it sounds like 'Smiley', and that it's quite different.

Hate - as it's associated with Miley Cyrus.

Also, is it tacky? It was my idea and hubby loves it but i'm starting to go off it already.

Thoughts?

i actually quite like the name, but I am not sure I could use it, simply because pretty much everyone will think you've named the baby after Miley Cyrus.

Miley Cyrus's real name is Destiny and they gave her the nickname Smiley, which turned into Miley.

Miley Cyrus is my first thought too. It's not a bad name if that doesn't bother you.

Spelled Maile it's a fairly common name in Hawaii (have a cousin who lives there and has two friends with the name). Personally Miley Cyrus crossed my mind, but I think it won't be long before she's entertainment history. All she has done in recent years are flop films. My very first thought though, was of my cousin's best friend Maile who is lovely.

Cyrus. Don't like.

Much prefer Mailie (May-Lee) funny how that one vowel change can turn it from a name that I think sounds a bit...well like you say OP 'tacky' to a nice name. Just my opinion - you know yourself whether you could handle using Miley. Good luck :)

Damn that Cyrus girl

There was a boy called Miley in dd1's year at school, i prefer it for a girl.

I know of a 2 year old Miley. I do quite like it but she's a lovely little girl so it's hard not to like the name as it's 'her'.
