Whats your thoughts.... it will have to go with two loooong last names double barrelled but not using the double barrel in everyday life like school and such so my surname almost becomes a middle name iyswim.

i like oldy worldy names but im thinking shorter the better if the poor souls getting all these last names. so whats your thoughts on stanley and hazel?

Is it twins? I know twins called Stanley & Mabel, which I like. I like Hazel too, in fact I think I like it more.

BeeBawBabbity · 11/08/2012 19:04

I like Hazel very much.

BroadBandwitch · 11/08/2012 19:05

I really like Hazel

AndWhenYouGetThere · 11/08/2012 19:06

I love Hazel (the "z" adds an edgy chic to the oldy worldy ness - it's great!) not so keen on Stanley though.

MrGeresHamster · 11/08/2012 19:09

Love love love Hazel... not so keen on Stanley though. Is it twins? Or that you don't know the sex?

StealthPolarBear · 11/08/2012 19:12

Hazel is lovely and actually I am looking back and wondering why we never thought of it. Very underused IME.
Stanley I am a lot less keen on - reminds me either of knives or old men in flat caps who drink ale.

StealthPolarBear · 11/08/2012 19:12

AndWhenYouGetThere, how else would you spell Hazel? Never seen Hasel?!

WithACherryOnTop · 11/08/2012 19:20

Stanley is awful though.

Lora1982 · 11/08/2012 19:53

My niece had a lovely friend in preschool named hazel.
DN called her weasel for about 3 years.

Stanley is my DH's uncle. Small angry little man.

Try again please.

HolyOlympicNamechangeBatman · 11/08/2012 22:46

Really don't like Hazel.

Stanley/Stan is quite sweet, but I know so many it's lost it's appeal.

Plokahontas · 11/08/2012 22:52

Stan / Stanley is cool, I love it.
I don't have any strong opinions on hazel really, but I'm erring on the side of dislike, I think.

HazeltheMcWitch · 11/08/2012 22:53

Well, I love Hazel !

xmasevebundle · 12/08/2012 01:19

Hazel just reminds me of a evil witch idk??

Stanley i fuxking LOVE. That was my 2nd choice but i hate shortened names. So i went off the idea!
