Poppy and George

Hi everyone, I have a 2 year old call Poppy and one week old little boy who we've been calling George all week. Love both names and thanks to everyone who posted on Baby George post. Just want some feedback on both names together - do you like it?

Sounds like two kids in a children's story, really sweet. Will work when they're adults too, lovely choice.

As many, many people (including me) said on the baby George thread, they sound fab together. Why do you need more reassurance than that? Please enjoy your lovely children with lovely names and stop worrying about it. Have a glass of wine and relax!

They sound nice together. Poppy is not to my taste, but it's not my baby.

But stop asking for assurance! It's your choice and the subjective opinions a bunch of random, faceless strangers on the Internet doesn't matter. Besides, someone's as likely to say they don't like the names and/or the combo and what will you do then?! Change your mind? Hardly.

You're never going to get unanimous agreement on baby names, so as long as you like it, then make your peace with your decision. :)

I sort of love that it sounds a bit like Peppa and George. One of the only children's shows that doesn't make me want to remove my own ears. They sound lovely together, imo. Hormones can make you lose your mind a little bit over names (ahem- took 6 weeks to settle on my last baby's name), but you likely chose these because you loved them. Relax, sniff that fuzzy little baby head, and don't give it another thought.

No, Poppy is everywhere and it does sound all very Pepper Pig with George.

OP already has a 2 year old called Poppy, it's George that will be the new baby.
