Minnie.

catus · 08/08/2012 14:21

I'm assuming for a girl.
Minerva is a bit strange, TBH. Sounds like you're trying too hard to be original.
Athena, possibly. Could be lovely actually.
Athene, just weird.
If you want to go for goddesses, I'm sure you can find something better.

Athene is very nice.

Minerva reminds me of nervous.

Fizzybee · 08/08/2012 16:06

I thought this was a thread about contraceptive options Blush

Badgerina · 08/08/2012 17:07

Athene is far nicer than Minerva.

tigercametotea · 08/08/2012 17:08

Definitely Athene.

BlueChampagne · 09/08/2012 13:09

Athene

shrinkingnora · 09/08/2012 13:15

Minerva will always have strong Harry Potter connections for me....

Dogsmom · 09/08/2012 13:38

Prefer Athene, is it Ath-ene or A-thene?

Minerva reminds me of prof Mcgonagall in hp, she's a nice characther though but it's the only time I've ever heard of the name.

Zhaghzhagh · 09/08/2012 13:38

Isn't there a coil called Minerva?

octaviarose · 09/08/2012 20:18

Minerva was the Roman goddess of wisdom, so same as Athene hence the link. Had no notion of the Harry Potter or coil connection!!

i was going to say that minerva reminds me of a contraception - the coil is called mirena, but i can't be sure that there isn't a coil called minerva. Im not feeling it tbh.

Quite like athene, but not sure about theeny, which i suppose is what it would be shortened to. Minnie on the other hand, i like that.

Lucyellensmum99 · 09/08/2012 20:26

Minerva sort of reminds me nirvana as well.

EightiesOlympicGolds · 09/08/2012 20:37

Love Minerva! You have a great shortening, which Athene doesn't. Plus not sure people will know how to pronounce Athene. The Harry Potter connection will only be noted by people who like the books, so I think that would only be a positive thing IYSWIM.

mathanxiety · 11/08/2012 06:52

I love Minerva. Prefer Athena to Athene.

HollyMadison · 11/08/2012 07:00

I think there might be a contraceptive pill called Minerva. If not in the uk then somewhere else....

JazzAnnNonMouse · 11/08/2012 07:29

Don't like minerva but love Athene Smile

theyarebetter · 12/08/2012 13:34

Prefer Athene by far.

peeriebear · 12/08/2012 13:48

Athena/Athene, definitely. Wasn't there a baddie from the old camp Batman series called Minerva?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 12/08/2012 13:52

Athene Seyler
