Iris or Penelope

Which do you prefer and why? Any views appreciated, I'm very indecisive. Thanks

Iris definitely because don't like Penny and lots of people will call her that even if she/you wants her to be Penelope

Iris is beautiful. Penelope more unusual these days and also v nice- makes me think of Penelope Pitstop!

Iris is too old-lady, is part of the eye, and I don't like the flowers much!

Penelope. Underused but elegant. I really don't like the Goo Goo Dolls song so that puts me off Iris, plus it's hard to make it sound affectionate.

Definitely Iris, I love that name, very elegant and I don't think it'll ever get too popular. Just not keen on Penelope but I don't know why.

I like both names. But Iris is totally lovely. On the other hand Penelope with Penny for short is really nice too.

Not sure why. Maybe because it's grown up without the "formality" of Penelope.

Oooh it's a difficult choice because they are both lovely.....I think Iris is slightly better! I think Penelope is going to get super popular due to the recent Kardashian baby considering her other child's name went super popular after she choose it!

I have an 11 year old Iris, so I think you should choose Penelope

Penelope has lovely nn's I think, especially Nell. I actually really love both!

Iris is the best of the two. Have known a couple of not very nice Pennylopes so don't like it much.

It's shorter, cleaner, has no nicknames. But Penelope is a beautiful name anyway.

Both are lovely names. I prefer Iris as I'm not as keen on Penny
