Do you like either?

What about with a surname which starts with "S"? Imagine something like Simpson...

They both end in an 's' sound so not sure if they go with an 's' surname. But I like Felix. Also like Franklin...

Yes that is what I think....don't think they go with our surname which has two "s" sounds in it, like Simpson. So Felix Simpson....?? Bit of a tongue twister.

I like Franklin although is sounds more like a surname to me.

Both are lovely.

Felix!
I know a nice one but also knew a very dippy druggy useless layabout fergus when younger :)

Fergus. But then I'm Scottish and love Scottish names.

VolAuVent · 02/08/2012 07:41

Felix - lovely classic Biblical name.

Neither sound great with a surname starting with S. Both end in an s sound and run into the surname.

I'd go with a name ending in a consonant and one that doesn't have an 's' sound in it, like:

Nathan Simpson
Franklin Simpson
Quentin Simpson
Reuben Simpson

I love Felix.I hate Fergus.It's ugly imho.

mathanxiety · 02/08/2012 18:14

Fergus. But both run into the S surname..

rachel234 · 02/08/2012 21:30

Unfortunately both run into the S surname so I would agree with poster above that a first name ending in another letter would sound much better.

Theo Simpson
Patrick Simpson
Arthur Simpson
Quinn Simpson
Finlay Simpson
