Still ttc but DH has just randomly contributed that he would like to name any future son Lamar, which threw me a bit, as he normally suggests things like Edward or Henry! Wdyt?

Was that a R1 DJ? Not keen personally.

Bunbaker · 30/07/2012 18:59

Mark Lamarr?

Incidentally, how would you pronounce Lamar? Laymar or lamb-arr?

birdofthenorth · 30/07/2012 20:07

Yes pronounced as in Lamb -ah

My first thought was Mark Lamar too to be honest, followed by was-that-an-X-Factor style singer?!

It is arabic. Pronounced 'Lamb-ar'

Polkadotfanatic · 30/07/2012 22:23

There is a singer with the name. Quite a good one at that. Unfortunately it makes me think of lemur....but then, I did do my ESB on them (15 years ago) and I am quite odd....

I'm ashamed to admit I know this. . . . . . . but here goes . . . . . one of the Kardashians is married to a Lamar.

MrsApplepants · 31/07/2012 14:51

Sorry it's an awful name

CheerfulYank · 31/07/2012 17:10

Here it's Luh-marr, and not lovely.

Though I do like the one that the Kardashian is married to. Blush

squoosh · 31/07/2012 17:34
