A sister for Romilly...

Hello all. I am struggling with the name for my second DD, due in October and was hoping you might be able to help. I already have a 21 month old named Romilly and am now completely in love with the name Cecily for number two. But I am having real trouble getting my head round whether the names are too similar or whether they make a good sibset. Does anyone have a view? I have asked a couple of friends and they seem to think it is okay but I am still unsure. DH thinks it is fine. I have tried to think of other names but I keep coming back to Cecily as a firm favourite. My worry is will the names sound silly when said together or will having similar names affect each child's sense of individuality.

Thanks so much in advance!

I think they sound beautiful together and I don't see any problem. I heard of a woman who has a Romilly and her other daughters are Beatrix, Juniper, Pippa and Coraline!

They sound fine together.

Romey and Cici, cute.

Maia and Romilly also sound nice to me.

I think Romilly and Cecily sound good together. If you love it then go for it!

I really like both names, but think they do sound a bit singsongy together. Romilly and Cecilia?

I know of a set of cousins who are called Romily, Fenella, Rowenna and Verity.

Thanks so much everyone. You have made me feel much better about it. Cecily it is!
