Mabel is a dog.
Lilibet is nice (also like Elsbeth/Lisbeth more so)
Poppy is fine

VolAuVent · 29/07/2012 16:22

Love Poppy, not keen on the other two.

GnocchiNineDoors · 29/07/2012 16:24

On seeing the thread title the first name that came into my head was Ava. However, I do also really like your suggestion on Poppy. Im sorry to say Im not keen on your other suggestions.

I know a Finn, who has two sisters named Kate and Aimee.

scottishmummy · 29/07/2012 16:24

lilibet is ghastly
Mabel old ladyish

BikeRunSki · 29/07/2012 16:35

I know Finleys with sisters called Verity, Caitlin, Rowan and Beatrice.

AreYouAbleMabel · 29/07/2012 17:15

All three are gorgeous.....if I had to pick just one it would be Lillibeth followed closely by Mabel!!

peanutMD · 29/07/2012 19:37

Not keen on any to be honest.

My first thought was Ciara.

K999 · 29/07/2012 19:40

My first thought was Freya

thegreylady · 29/07/2012 20:02

The two Finleys I know have sisters called Maia and Iris

JamieandTheOlympicTorch · 29/07/2012 20:17

Lillibet is a nickname, and (sorry, sorry, sorry) twee as anything.

Elizabeth is lovely though, but with any other NN

Mabel is OK
I don't like Poppy (sorry)

My suggestions:

Pearl - old-ladyish but prettier than Mabel
Constance/Connie - likewise
Cassie - Poppyish but a bit stronger-sounding
Margaret - NN Maggie/Peggy

ScorpionQueen · 29/07/2012 20:31

Mabel is awful, a real old lady's name. Lillibet is a nickname. Poppy is the best of the three, but Freya works very well.

WanderingOkapi · 29/07/2012 20:31

I love Mabel
And Martha

Handsfullandrunningforgold · 29/07/2012 20:42

I know a Finley and Faith. Out of your list I like Poppy best.

MacMac123 · 30/07/2012 19:34

Pearl is on our long list. I like Freya and thought it went well with Finn but isn't it really common?

freya is v popular in 4-6age group

racingheart · 30/07/2012 22:15

Not keen on Lilibet. It sounds like a baby version of Elizabeth. What about Elspeth/Elsbeth instead?

I like Mabel. It has a really cuddly, snuggly cute ring to it for a baby, and I can imagine it working well for a teenager. Cool name. And if you like to shorten it, there's lots you can do with it: May, Maisie, Belle.

Poppy is nice but very popular. Freya is v popular too I think.

scottishmummy · 31/07/2012 21:11

lillibet current queen nickname
for that reason alone I dislike it
