I'm not sure I like it tbh, but if I had to choose, I'd spell it Tate or it just looks made up IMO

Not to my taste but if you love it then Tate is better than Tayte, the y is unnecessary. Makes me think of Tate and Lyle sugar.

Tayto crisps are the best ever and you can buy them in Asda and now you have just made me crave them

I just have no ideas for a boys name to follow James. Thought James Tate sounded quite nice but maybe not. DP didn't like either.
