Help me! Totally stuck on a name for our baby (we know she's a girl).

I'd like something unusual but not odd. Love pretty names for girls ending with a 'y' sound. If Lily or Millie were unusual names that's the kind of thing we'd go for.

We also have greek relatives so could use a Greek name but also no ideas here. Love flower names as well but can't find any unusual ones.

Can't have a 'r' sound though - i can say my 'rs' but never comfortable with them. So e.g. 'raphaela' would be out or 'primose' (not that I like primrose anyway but YKWIM).

If you're not already fed up of my list of requirements, can you please please give me some ideas?! Xxxxxxx

Xanthe is fab. It does mean golden-haired though - which is why we didn't use it as our DD was very dark and still is. DS however would make a wonderful Xanthe Grin

where I grew up there was a Phoebe whose dad was Greek

it was a very unusual name then (50s)

Athena and Artemis are both nice - I love Arty as a nickname. Or Ariadne and Ari.

Love Delphi as well, which is more of a place than a name, but if it works for Florence Nightingale it could work for your daughter!

Lucy/Lucinda

Lylee

Leonie is lovely too.

Nike Grin (Greek goddess osf Victory)...

no seriously, I really like Ines, which does have a Greek connection as it's "the French and Spanish version of the Latinized form of the Greek name ?Αγνη (Hagne), derived from Greek ?αγνος (hagnos) meaning "chaste". Saint Agnes was a virgin martyred during the persecutions of the Roman emperor Diocletian. The name became associated with Latin agnus "lamb", resulting in the saint's frequent depiction with a lamb by her side. Due to her renown, the name became common in Christian Europe, being especially popular in England in the Middle Ages." according to this website:
