Isaiah.......what do you think??

I have a fondness for biblical names but don't want anything too common! Isaiah seems to be a firm favourite at the moment, it can be pronounced I-zi-ah or I-zay-ah...I prefer the I-zay-ah pronounciation! So what do you think???

Both are fine. It isn't my favourite name but nothing wrong with it. YOU have got to love it!!

I've never heard it pn I-zay-ah. I think it sounds a bit wrong tbh. I like the traditional pn.

I like it, and it was briefly on our list for ds, but the pronunciation would bug me, so we scratched it.
The I-zay-uh pronunciation is American (I think). I prefer the I-zye-uh pronunciation.

I just love the I Zay uh pronunciation so much I think I would have to stick with that!!

Sorry to be a killjoy but I think most people would automatically pronounce it the British way - unless you live in America - and so you would have to be forever correcting people, which would be tedious. I guess you could change the spelling (not sure how?) to signify the different pronunciation - but then that could cause other problems. I think it's a good name though.

I have never heard the Eye-zeye-ah pronunciation -- always Eye-ZAY-uh. Maybe an Irish thing?

I've only ever heard Eye-zay-uh.

I love it! It was on our boy's list when pregnant with dd2. The only important thing is that u like it.
