What do you think of the name? Is there anything that immediately jumps out at you when you see it or is it just plainly non-descript?

Sounds very Australian to me and a bit too surnamey.

amck5700 · 20/07/2012 23:32

I like it. I know a few Logan's, 1 of them a girl. I know a family who had a Logan then a little girl who they called Rowan.....and then realise that they had two kids named after berries!!

patosullivan · 20/07/2012 23:36

Wolverine! And the X-Men Grin

PenisVanLesbian · 20/07/2012 23:40

American Preppy.
Not for me.

amck5700 · 20/07/2012 23:43

it's Scottish, not unusual but not common either.

rainbow2000 · 21/07/2012 00:39

I have a Logan it really suits him,its a lovely name you know how its pronounced no surprises there.Unusual enough but not to many of them.

rainbow2000 · 21/07/2012 00:40

And yes his middle name is James aka Wolverine but it wasnt intentional i swear. And anyway Wolverines name is James logan not the oter way round.

SandyBottoms · 21/07/2012 09:21

Logan is a lovely strong name. Great for a man or boy.

birdofthenorth · 21/07/2012 09:32

I really like Logan- I am a fan of surnamey, Scottish, American-preppy type names though, so see those comments as a positive!

One word of warning is it's much more popular than you realise. They were 100 born in 1997 but 2500 of them born in 2010- I think it will keep going up into the top 10.

I do like it though- if I had one I don't think I could help myself but nickname him Loganberry as a toddler!

Badgerina · 21/07/2012 09:59

I like it. I have an ancestor who lived in the American Wild West called Logan Grin

ByTheWay1 · 21/07/2012 10:05

Common name in Scotland.. I like it a lot and if I had had a boy our shortlist was Logan and Niall

MammaTonic · 21/07/2012 10:22

I like it :) It's not a name I would have on a shortlist for a son of mine (I prefer Hebrew boys names) but I like it very much.

My sil has a Logan - but his middle name is Joshua

I have nicknamed him Rogan Josh! I know, I know, I'm just too good! But seriously - think about middle names!

rezzle · 21/07/2012 15:40

Thanks for the replies! Popularity doesn't bother me too much as DS's name is statistically popular but I've never met another :)

ChunkyMonkey Seriously? Logan Joshua? Why did no one tell her BEFORE she'd had him registered???????? Shock Or do they really like curry?

overmydeadbody · 21/07/2012 17:37

Logan is a lovely name. Go for it.

victoriassponge · 21/07/2012 22:01

Love it.

cece · 21/07/2012 22:02

Logan's Run

fluffywhitekittens · 21/07/2012 22:04

I wanted it as a middle name for ds as it is a family name but dh vetoed it :(

cece · 21/07/2012 22:04

Here

Springforward · 21/07/2012 22:10

Logan's Run here too.

sashh · 22/07/2012 04:27

Isn't that the name of the little boy whose home made olympic torch is raising money for charity?

LittleWhiteWolf · 22/07/2012 04:34

I know a few Logan's round 'ere, but the name doesn't have great associations for me because of that. The kids are alright, all under five, but they belong to not very nice families.

LogonMounstuart · 22/07/2012 09:25

Makes me think of Logon Mountstuart (William Boyd) but it would wouldn't it (it's my MN name). Think it is a good name for a boy and a man.
