Middle name for Billy?

My little nephew is 10 days old and still has no middle name!

Db and Dsil are going to register him in the morning and we're all out of ideas.

We need some inspiration!

Do they have a family member who's particularly special, a special place or even someone they admire? If not, how about -

Billy Sebastian
Billy Jacob
Billy Alexander
Billy Samuel
Billy Jonathan

or something a bit more quirky, maybe a name they weren't confident enough on to use as a first name?

William.

strawberrypenguin · 20/07/2012 17:15

My William (who we call Billy) has George as one of his middle names. Don't know if your Billy is a William though George might not work so well after the shorter Billy.
I like some of uncharteds suggestions but if he's a Billy I'd avoid any middle names starting with J!

strawberrypenguin · 20/07/2012 17:16

Sorry that should be unsocialite Blush

UnSocialite · 20/07/2012 17:22

Oops yes, missed that one! Feel free to ignore Jacob and Jonathan :o

Our William (who is also Billy) has the middle name Michael.

msrantsalot · 20/07/2012 17:24

Bob Grin

why does he need to have a middle name? none of my DCs do

amck5700 · 20/07/2012 17:28

i'd avoid Joel, Ray or Elliot too

what about Lewis or just an initial, Dee or Vee or really quirky and Bear

sonniboo · 20/07/2012 17:33

William Charles or William George sounds lovely.

strawberrypenguin · 20/07/2012 17:38

yay for another Billy I've not met another yet in RL :) (mine is only 8mo) I've obviously met other William's though :o

Ham69 · 20/07/2012 19:13

Depends if they like something quirky, traditional, etc.

I quite like;

Laurence
Alistair
Benedict
Hugo
Beau
Arthur
Magnus
Xavier
Felix

I'll stop now before I get carried away!

They can afford to be adventurous also as middle names are rarely said out loud.

strawberrypenguin · 20/07/2012 20:00

You can't really have Benedict either (as much as I love it) it's a bit Bill and Ben Grin

UnSocialite · 20/07/2012 20:21

strawberry, we would have considered Benjamin for DC4 if we didn't already have a Billy and and Francis. People wouldn't know whether we'd used it in order to have a Bill and Ben or a Frankie and Benny :o

Nobhead · 20/07/2012 20:26

Billy Vincent?

Debs75 · 20/07/2012 20:32

My Billy is Billy Grahame after my dad, and an american evangelist/preacher, didn't know that when I registered him.
Billy spent most of his school years being called Bilbo after his nursery teacher caled him it due to the lord of the rings and it has stuck
