What do you think? And would you pronounce it ay-dia or ah-dia?

Lovely - feminine sounding and not overused. I'd pronounce it however you preferred, probably Ah-dia.

Whoops, I misread this as Aida. It could be that I have had a long day and it's just me. Or it could be that Adia would get this mix-up a fair bit with her name.

I don't like Aida; I do like Adia (and Nadia, for that matter).

I think lots of people will think you have mis-spelled/typed Aida which would be annoying

Have always loved this name. Started a thread a while a go. Would pronounce it AY DE A.

Reminds me of the Sarah Mclachlan song.

my friend Anna named her kid Adia. I think it's nice. They say AY-dia.

You'll get sick and tried of people saying Aida - like the opera? before long.

Also thought of the lovely Sarah McLachlan song. I like it. Not my usual naming style but a strong, elegant name.

Nigglenaggle · 20/07/2012 20:44

Looks odd sounds nice - but she is going to have a lifetime of people mispronouncing it whichever one you go for

CaringMum28 · 21/07/2012 10:40

It reminds me of 'adios' as in 'see ya'

Not in Wales! It's the command for adding up!
