What do you think of Sage for a boy?

I'm not one for strange names but actually kind of like it... he'd need to be quite brainy though, or a cook!

Cute, but I prefer Basil. I'm going to call my next pet Basil, I have no idea why it hasn't returned as a MN name for boys

I know a really cool sage

SORT OF NAME I WOuld normally dislike but there is something quite cute about it, a good name for a slightly built, baby/toddler with longish fair hair with hippy parents!

My now 13 year old twins went to baby group with a girl Sage. She was v cute.

Oooohhh missing marbles......is it a boy or girl sage ( as it seems to be unisex) and what kind if reactions do they get to their name???

Oh dear, no. Use it as a mn if you must but as a first name, it's pretty dreadful imho.

He is a lovely lad, and afaik, he gets positive reactions. He is American, though, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

Sage is nice, sounds a bit more suitable for a girl IMO but could make a really interesting middle name?

Love it. But I'm very in touch with my inner hippy so I wouldn't trust my judgement if you're on the Boden-esque end of the spectrum.
