I love penelope. Properly lovely name.

Psammead · 16/07/2012 19:42

Thanks! Not sure it's clear, but I mean Penelope as a first name, Robyn as a middle name.

Lovely!

SardineQueen · 16/07/2012 19:46

Yes I like it. Penelope is lovely, really good choice.

LuellaLovesLavender · 16/07/2012 20:01

Love Penelope but not so keen on Robyn as a middle name!

LuellaLovesLavender · 16/07/2012 20:02

Penelope may get very popular now courtesy of the new Kardashian baby!

Psammead · 16/07/2012 20:08

Robyn is pretty non-negotiable Smile

I have heard of the Kardashians but have no clue who they are. We are not in the UK so hopefully their fame will not extend Grin

Lovely.

Penelope makes me think Penelope Pitstop. I don't think it goes with Robyn - Penelope is quite girly and feminine, and I think would go better with a 'softer' and more girly middle name. Robyn I think is a nicer name.

GummiberryJuice · 16/07/2012 20:13

Love Penelope but was thinking the same as luella, about the kardashians and someone else famous had a baby girl at weeken and called her Penelope, must say I was abit anoyed as Penelope would have been on my list this time around

GreenDragonfly · 16/07/2012 20:13

Love it!

Booette · 16/07/2012 21:16

Lovely! Both great names.

DZH · 16/07/2012 21:25

Penny Bob ??

PR can be dangerous depending on the surname !!!

propercharlie · 16/07/2012 21:32

Love Penelope! Would use it myself but surname also begins with a P!!

darkfever · 17/07/2012 19:54

I love Penelope.

MammaTonic · 17/07/2012 20:40

I love Penelope - it was a consideration for DD1 but had to rule it out because it rhymes with our surname. I like Robyn , too.

However, I don't think they're a good combo as first/middle names (or sibling names, for that matter) as they are very different names. To me, Penelope is a classic, timeless, feminine name. Robyn is new, fresh zesty and funky. I don't think that they have the right 'fit' together.

That's just what I think of them as a combination. Individually though, both lovely.

Lovely Smile

We have a Holly Robyn, and like you, middle name pretty much non-negotiable. It's different and it's lovely, I really like Penelope too Grin

MrsJohnDeere · 17/07/2012 22:05

Robyn Penelope is better IMHO.

Badgerina · 17/07/2012 23:51

I like them (love them) individually, but not together.

Beachhutdweller · 18/07/2012 08:41

Nice but reminds me of Christopher Robin! Not a bad thing though...

3boysgirlontheway · 18/07/2012 11:39

Beautiful x

nickyboo · 23/07/2012 15:30

Sorry, don't like Penelope at all, but think Robyn for a girl is lovely!

RillaBlythe · 23/07/2012 21:08

I like Penelope, & I like Robin for a boy. Robyn for a girl I don't mind, but together they seem odd to me.

However I don't really believe in middle names flowing etc, to me the middle name slot is for meaningful names - my DDs are both middle named after grandparents. So it actually doesn't matter to me.

Janoschi · 25/07/2012 00:05

I like the combination! Biased because I have a Robin (DD). Always get nice comments about her name, btw. Penny Bob is just awesome. Ours gets Bobalina, Bobzilla (when in a trash-the-room toddler mood), Boberoo and Bobbins.
