As with many new to be parents unsure of names and what people think really who don't know u!! Don't want anything too out there but also not where there is ten in the class with the same name. We really like Lilibet Rose (the queens pet name) for a girl which can be shortened to lily and Pip (great expectations and what they are currently called in the tummy) for a boy??!!! Honest opinions welcome. Thanks x

I think both Lilibet Rose and Pip are fabulous names, I wouldn't shorten Lilibet to Lily as it is so perfect as it is! I have considered Pip myself!

Unusual, but why not Smile

So, that's named after the Queen or Prince Philip for the Jubilee?? Both cute names for a child but not sure that either are really grown up names in themselves.

Personally, I wouldn't go for Lilibet as this was how the Queen mispronounced her own name as a young child.

Elizabeth Rose is lovely and quintessentially English, if this is what you are after in a Jubilee year.

Lily Rose is even lovelier, IMO.

I really like Philip for a boy and think it is a classic name that is woefully underused! Pip is a gorgeous NN.

HTH!

Would it be just Pip? I'm not sure on that for a proper name.

My brothers name was Philip and I used to call him Pip (only me though, everyone else called him Phil!)

pip is fab, pippa is fab for a girl
