I wouldn't. Too similar.

quornmummy · 15/07/2012 11:44

Both lovely traditional names but when shortenened would they both be "Em"?

BillyBollyBandy · 15/07/2012 11:46

Not too similar. Lovely names though.

Emma and Amelia?

BillyBollyBandy · 15/07/2012 11:46

Sorry - no too similar

VolAuVent · 15/07/2012 11:51

Both lovely, but too similar.

Hannah and Emily
Sophie and Emily
Grace and Emily

Emma and Holly
Emma and Lucy
Emma and Abigail

Both lovely names which will never sound common however popular they are. But they'd both be shortened to Em or Emmy which would be difficult!

Emma and Charlotte sounds perfect to me.

Geordieminx · 15/07/2012 12:51

That's what I thought.

Just incase there is any lurkers am not pregnant, just names I overheard today Grin

No way! It reminds me of a girl I worked with once who said that if she had twin boys she'd call them Nathan and Nathaniel!

thegreylady · 15/07/2012 16:43

I once taught twins named Paula and Pauline back in the sixties. They were known as Polly and Loll !

Stellan · 15/07/2012 18:17

Ridiculous!

Both fine names but not suitable for twins or even siblings!

ProfessorSunny · 15/07/2012 18:20

Emma and Elizabeth?

I know of twins with just one letter different between their names, it's quite cute.

valiumredhead · 17/07/2012 09:35

No, way too similar.

alemci · 17/07/2012 09:48

Hot chocolate song springs to mind. Seriously both names in my immediate family but different generations.

nelly83 · 17/07/2012 11:34

I once taught twins called Emily and Emilia! wrong in my opinion. just because they are twins does not mean they are the same person! they need their own identities like every other child. rant over!

Both lively but not together for twins. You need a different starting letter for each.

exoticfruits · 17/07/2012 21:59

Lovely not lively!

MrsJohnDeere · 17/07/2012 22:04

Too similar.

Emma is much nicer than Emily.

Elizabeth, Libbie, Alexandra instead?
