My dh suggested Boaz to me, I adore it.....I know it is very unusual! I love biblical names but rather something a little more unusual than the mainstream biblical names. I would love to hear your thoughts on Boaz for a little boy....please be gentle!!

Not keen personally!

It's a fabulous strong name

I used to live on a street named Boaz. For some reason it seemed to confuse people - not sure why as I think it looks/spelled exactly like it's pronounced - but deliveries were an issue. I was forever repeating myself when giving my address!

I think it's kind of cool as a human name.

It has a nice sound to it, my only worry is he will constantly be asked to spell it, and repeat it, and asked about its provenance, etc.

My first reaction is "Bozo".

GoodPhariseeofDerby · 13/07/2012 16:15

I like it, unusual but easy to read.

tara0202 · 13/07/2012 16:19

No, I don't think its a nice name at all and I like unusual names.

DottieRose · 13/07/2012 16:21

I think Boaz is gorge, one of my considerations! If Noah, Isaac etc etc are usable then Boaz should also be!

CoteDAzur · 13/07/2012 16:24

Is your DH a Freemason?

VolAuVent · 13/07/2012 16:45

I don't really like it, sorry. If you like unusual Biblical names how about Malachi, Ezekiel (Zeke), Samson, Amos, Zebedee, Micah?

WithACherryOnTop · 13/07/2012 17:27

It's ugly.A definite no.
