What girls name do you think goes with Adam? We love Adam as it's classic, timeless yet not too overused. But we are stuck with girls names. To give an idea of my taste, I really like Sarah and Emma, but DH says boring and too overused in our generation. I also like Charlotte, but DH doesn't. I want something that sounds pretty too for a girl. Any ideas?

My friend Hannah has a brother called Adam so that's the first name that sprung to mind. Don't whatever you do call her eve.

Hannah's a good idea. I actually do like Eva (not Eve), but no wouldn't do that!

Amanda.

Zoe. They will then be your A to Z. Grin

Thanks for the ideas - I like Sophie, Jessica and Zoe.

What do you think of Elizabeth? DH likes that and I like Beth, so we could shorten it. Otherwise if we want Beth, Bethany, but I think we prefer Elizabeth to Bethany for a full name.

I'm a Zoë and my brother is Adam :)

Ruth?

I like Elizabeth too.

Not Eve! :-P

Perhaps a little too commonplace for your taste but how about...
Adam & Hannah?
Adam & Rachel?
Adam & Rebecca?

The thing with your choices is that while they might be common for your generation, they're not being that widely used at the minute and so would make good choices for a baby born in 2012.

If you like Sarah, maybe you'd like Serena or Seraphina; Sera could be a nickname. If you like Emma, you could use Emily, Elodie, Cecily, Emmeline, Amelia or Amelie? That said, Emma sounds the freshest of that bunch to me at the minute.

Or maybe...
Adam & Jane?
Adam & Susannah?
Adam & Martha?
Adam & Esther?
Adam & Ruth?
Adam & Dinah?
Adam & Phoebe?
Adam & Iris?
Adam & Harriet?
Adam & Victoria?
Adam & Fenella?
Adam & Serena?
Adam & Louisa?
Adam & Eleanor?
Adam & Helena?
Adam & Josephine?
Adam & Pearl?
Adam & Juliet?
Adam & Miriam?
Adam & Georgia?
Adam & Cordelia?
Adam & Eliza?
Adam & Rosa?

I have a friend called Samantha with a brother Adam.

I think Samantha and Adam sound lovely together.

I don't think I've met another Samantha since leaving school 10 years ago. Nice name imo.

I think a 2 syllable name would sound well with Adam: Lucy, Lola, Maya, Zara, Tara, Flora. hTH

Alison, Helen, Zoe, Xanthe
